  • Twitter is reducing the number of ads shown to its Blue subscribers by at least 50% and introducing a tool to increase the visibility of organic tweets.

  • Blue users who pay a monthly subscription of $8 will have boosted rankings in conversations and search, and only verified accounts will be eligible for 'For You' recommendations.

  • Twitter is committed to improving user experience and maintaining platform integrity by allowing verified bot accounts and adding the date of verification to profiles.

Twitter has made a bold move to appeal to its users by reducing the number of ads shown to Blue subscribers by at least 50%. To enhance the visibility of Blue users on the platform, Twitter has introduced a new tool that will be implemented on both 'For You' and 'Following' tabs. With the new tool, users will see more organic or non-promoted tweets in between promoted tweets or ads, which will surely increase the user's Twitter experience.

While the tool does not apply to advertisements shown in profile replies, promoted accounts and trends, and promoted events on the Explore page, Twitter has given more importance to Blue users who pay a monthly subscription of $8 by boosting their rankings in conversations and search. Verified accounts will be allowed to appear in 'For You' recommendations starting from April 15, according to Elon Musk.

Twitter has kept the blue checkmarks for accounts that have been verified in the past, and now there's a new verified tagline for Blue users. The tagline says "This account is verified because it's subscribed to Twitter Blue or has been verified in the past." Additionally, the Twitter CEO shared some exciting news that they will be adding the date of verification to the profile, which will help address the past corruption of legacy checkmarks.

Twitter is dedicated to improving the experience of its users and ensuring that the platform remains trustworthy. Elon Musk chimed in, saying that verified bot accounts are acceptable as long as they follow the terms of service and do not pretend to be human. With these measures, Twitter aims to expand its user community and establish itself as a dependable platform for everyone.
