  • Tata Neu, the super app of Tata Group, has launched NeuSkills, a vertical that offers reskilling courses in data analytics and front-end development.

  • NeuSkills will provide internship opportunities at Tata companies and the potential for job placement within the Tata Group.

  • Tata Neu will face competition from larger rivals such as Scaler, Byju's-owned Great Learning, UpGrad, Masai School, and Newton School in the edtech sector.

In the midst of a reset in the ed-tech sector due to a slowdown in business and funding, Tata Group's super app, Tata Neu, has launched a new vertical called NeuSkills. The goal of this vertical is to provide reskilling courses for individuals interested in data analytics and front-end development. The courses will be offered in a boot camp format and will include internship opportunities at Tata companies and the potential for job placement within the Tata Group.

The NeuSkills website mentions several Tata companies, including BigBasket, Croma, AirAsia, and Tata Consultancy Services, as potential internship and job placement opportunities. The courses will be offered at a promotional price of Rs 60,000, exclusive of tax. With this new business venture, the Tatas are serious players in the reskilling and upskilling game, which is much needed in the current job market, according to Narayanan Ramaswamy, The leader of the education and skill development practice at KPMG India.

Tata Neu has recently launched NeuSkills, a new vertical that offers reskilling courses in data analytics and front-end development. This launch coincides with the revamp of the Tata Neu super app and the company's active promotion during the Indian Premier League. Tata Group is no stranger to edtech, as it already has a B2B play with Tata ClassEdge, a provider of digital classroom solutions.

NeuSkills will face competition from larger rivals such as Scaler, Byju's-owned Great Learning, UpGrad, Masai School, and Newton School. Scaler, which is backed by Tiger Global, recently ventured offline with the Scaler School of Technology in Bengaluru, offering a four-year residential undergraduate program in computer science. It has been reported that due to the business slowdown, Byju's and Unacademy have laid off thousands of employees. However, despite these challenges, both companies are expanding their operations offline.
