Physics Wallah, a leading edtech unicorn, is committed to addressing the demand-supply gap in new-age tech professionals by investing Rs 120 crores in its upskilling platform, PW Skills. With a focus on bridging the disparity between the demand and availability of skilled professionals, Physics Wallah aims to enhance its offerings and make quality education accessible to students from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.


A significant portion of the investment will be allocated toward the technological advancement of PW Skills. By leveraging technology, Physics Wallah aims to enhance the learning experience for students. Through the integration of innovative tools such as PW Virtual Lab, an experienced portal, the edtech startup is determined to provide a comprehensive ecosystem that ensures a premium-grade education.


Physics Wallah recognizes the importance of community engagement and offers a range of courses free of cost. Over 10 popular programs have been launched to benefit the community. With a reach of 1.5 lakh students, Physics Wallah has successfully attracted learners from small towns across India, with Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh being the major sources of enrollment.

In addition to providing education, PW Skills offers placement assistance through its job portal. Collaborating with over 250 renowned companies, including Tata IQ, Siemens, SAP, and Amazon, Physics Wallah aims to offer top-notch job opportunities to learners. The platform has placed over 10,000 students in product-based companies, MNCs, and startups, with plans to host a significant job fair for PW Skills students in the near future.


PW Skills currently provides hybrid courses in various tech domains such as data science, Java, and full-stack web development, priced disruptively starting from Rs 3,500. In its pursuit of strengthening India's talent pipeline, Physics Wallah plans to introduce courses in blockchain, cybersecurity, and AR/VR. Furthermore, the company aims to extend its skill domain to include non-technical courses, catering to the aspirations of individuals residing in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, such as marketing, MBA, and finance-related programs.


Driven by its expansion and commitment to quality education, PhysicsWallah's revenue for FY23 has tripled to Rs 780 crore compared to Rs 233 crore in FY22. The company expects its revenue to grow over tenfold to Rs 2,500 crore in FY24. With a target of achieving $10 million in ARR this year for PW Skills, Physics Wallah is poised for further growth. It aims to collaborate with top colleges for joint certification courses, introduce diploma courses, and offer technology programs in vernacular languages, ensuring accessibility and ease of understanding for learners of all levels.
